Typhoon Haiyan Relief Efforts

Thank you to all who supported our efforts to help typhoon victims in the Philippines!

In December 2013, Water Well-ness Project partnered with The Canadian Red Cross to provide clean water to those suffering in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. With your support, we collected $521.21. This money was matched by the Canadian Government to give a grand total of $1042.42!

Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines on November 8th, 2013. This tropical storm, characterized by heavy rain and winds, affected more than 14 million people in the country –  about 14% of the entire population. Water, food, and shelter were all in short supply. Specifically, with disasters like this one, water infrastructure can be destroyed resulting in limited access to clean water. Our contribution was among the $85 million that was donated from registered Canadian charities and matched by the Canadian government.
